When using a browser, there are a few key aspects the user needs: Compatibility, security, speed, and the ease of use. Between Internet Explorer, Chrome, and Firefox, most user reviews show Google Chrome as the winner, however there are reasons why others could also work just as well.
Chrome has also earned outstanding user reviews due to its help and support availability, speed, security, compatibility, and ease of use. This is because of specific features such as the V8 and Kraken benchmarks (which configures its speed), the ability to create custom keywords for search optimization, “Safe Browsing” (which detects Malware or Phishing from any site visited), and the ability to customize your browser by creating your own theme.
Another competitor includes Internet Explorer. Explorer has different versions which are constantly being upgraded. Some of the latest versions include IE 7, IE 8, IE 9, and the recently debuted IE 10. If you ask any tech-wiz, they would say Internet Explorer is the worst browser you can use. However, it is an integral part of the Windows Operating System. In many cases it is the most compatible browser to use or the only one that can be used to access certain applications because of it’s support from Microsoft.
According to PCMag, one of the biggest reasons why Google Chrome is at the top of the list is because of its HTML 5 support. Google Chrome scored higher when tested in this area with Firefox next in line.
Although most user reviews place Chrome as the winner, the fact of the matter is that we have options with some having better features than others. There is no real answer to which one is better. It’s all up to you and depends on what webpages you visit.
